The End of Summer

We are told by the weather forecasters is that we have had a good summer. Do they live in the same country as me????
Today we have had sun, rain, thunder lightning and an autumnal nip in the air.

At this point I will ask for a round of applause, I have lost a stone and a half or 21 llbs and am down two dress sizes. Michael has lost 10 llbs and says he feels much better for it. He has been digging at Josephs allotment and has dug some onions up. We have to keep an eye on him as he cannot differentiate between weeds and veg and when he is on a rol that is it, the lot goes. Oh! my other accomplishment was doing a sort of shoulder stand in yoga, I was up in the air but just couldn't get quite vertical, it will come I know.

We have 71 days left and counting. Natasha and Chris are counting down and both really need a break, bless them they work such long hours.
Big day at the dentist tomorrrow. Am going to yoga in the morning then it is drilling into the bone at 3pm, think about me.
Probate has come through for the house next door so hopefully it will go on sale within the week.
Kids are starting back to school this week so life gets back to normal. It is amazing how our village is so quiet when the kids are out of school. I think it is because the school is on the main road and we get the traffic of parents who drive their kids a quarter of a mile or less to school instead of walking them there. A man across the road walks his 11year old daughter too and from school every day, it is about a 5 minute walk. What is with these parents? they scare their kids to death by alluding to a bogey man around every corner?

Well that is me done.

Night all.

We have had a very good dry summer here on the prairie, furthest point from the prevailing atlantic west to east rainbearing clouds, but we go to preston for a view of what rain is.The school bit seems like a clip from the grumpy old women tv programme.Graham

Good job on losing the weight Mam...and Michael. I am with you. I have lost 24 lbs since Australia and have weighed under 160 lb for over a week.
