Not Long Now????

We are gearing up for S&Gs arrival. Hope they are not too affected by the new security measures?
We have had a lovely Christmas and Sandra was top sales person for the week. Not bad for someone who is part time, mind you she is knackered having only had Christmas day off that week.
Sandra made us a wonderful Christmas dinner. Everything was so tasty, especially the parsnips and roast potatoes, my favourites, with not much left over.
Life here for us passes in a gentle blur as we watch the world go by. We have put off going to some places so we can do it with S&G. We will have been here 7 weeks on New Years Eve and it feels much longer than that.We are well into Aussie life but still cannot understand a word they say most of the time.
We have conducted a small survey over the past couple of weeks and the results are as follows. Saviges make the best chips without a doubt and the RSL make the lightest fish batter. We had the best meal at the golf club and the best lamb burger at The Blue Anchorage on the Beach at Bongaree, we will continue with our efforts.
Tomorrow Sameer is in Brisbane for the day playing golf, Sandra and myself are going to Chermside (their big mall)to do the sales and Michael will be left home alone to watch the house etc.
Michael has two fly swats and is busy swatting ants on the deck. Bless him, it is a thankless task as the are millions of them and he can never win.
We have had heavy rain today and through last night, they really need it as the dams are only half full. It has been grey most of the day but is like a steam bath when the sun comes out and the rain in the soil dries out.
Will attach some pictures if I can sort it out.
Will say goodnight as it is getting dark and I need to retire indoors.
Night all.
