Resolutions ???

Michael has, of his own volition, decided to work towards a level 5 carers award during 2009.His words not mine? His resolution is to 'Think outside the Box', 'use his initiative' and 'develop some common sense'. Bless him he has had to resort to this as there are no more leaves left to turn over??
It is still freezing although a slight sensation warmer than yesterday. We had a good walk today. The tree tops were all frosted over like with icing sugar and our water feature is all iced over on the pebbles. At one point I had a robin, blackbird, gold finch, sparrow and a dozen starlings all fighting to take a bath in the iced water.
We have taken down all our Christmas decorations, put them in the loft and taken down the suitcases for Aus.
Talked to S&S at just gone midnight, our time, they had had a quiet new years eve and were getting ready for their friends who are coming to stay.
They have some houses to view this weekend on the sunshine coast so fingers crossed.
Had a long chat with Natasha, they were cooking a meal at Liams, it sounded good.
Had a long chat with Mary Sue, they were having a viewing of their house so she was out in the car with the dogs, again fingers crossed for a positive outcome.
Had a phone call from Pat, she sounded really low, they had spent Christmas alone and her leg still isn't healed.
Pauline is still laid low with the virus which appears to come and go at random. Joseph is fitting his new bathroom, it will look stunning when it is finished.Muneer called in on his way to work, he was on nights NYEve and had to deal with a lot of car fires. Apparently because the price of scrap is low people set fire to their cars to claim insurance??
Other than the above it has been a quiet day.
Wishing all our readers a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year with a bit of good luck thrown in.
Night all.
Sonia

I will wait with baited breath for updates on Michael's endeavor. It sounded like your day was filled up with phone calls.
