Am 90% packed now. Michael is doing some work at Lilleshall at the end of Oct so I shall empty and repack to make sure I have everything and perhaps take out some stuff??
5 months is a long time to wear the same few clothes so I need a variety and can't get my head round the fact that the temp will always be hot, well for me it will. The exchange rate for the Aussie dollar is plummeting as I write. In Feb it was $2-35 to the pound, today it is $1-74. As the FTSE rises the dollar drops.
We are having our Christmas dinner at Muneers on Sunday with J&K & S, Turkey, xmas pud and crackers are the order of the day.
Had a good visit with Liam and Roxanne last Saturday. Liam has lost over a stone in weight and looks much better for it. He has found a regime and diet that suits him and hope he keeps going, I know he will feel better for it.
I thought Natasha and Chris were coming home on Thursday , poor souls they are coming home to cold weather, dark nights and Starbucks, what a combination? Plus leaving Mum and Dad, it is going to be hard for all concerned?
Have managed to Google video with S&G, tried with Fuad but he didn't answer the phone, not sure if it is working. Need to try it one day son as I need for them all to be set up before I leave for Aus.
Joseph has got an iphone and Muneer is getting one after xmas when his phone provider is allowed to sell them. Currently only O2 can sell them, but Orange and Vodaphone can after Xmas.
Bad news, the Apple Shop at M/Hall is closed for refurbishment until Oct 31st, will have to ring Andrew if I am stuck.
We had a pizza at Pizza Express today. I printed a voucher off their website for 2 of their pizzas for £10. They do one with the middle cut out and they put a rocket and spinach salad in the middle, it averages out at about 500 calories and there is a choice of about 5 cooked in this way. Their pizzas are very healthy, made to order and are not covered in cheese. They also do a mini dessert with tea or coffee. We had a very small lemon meringue tart about 4 teaspoons worth and a cup of tea.
We had a walk round and I bought a couple of paperbacks for the journey and Michael got his jars of malt and cod liver oil, they were on offer at Boots, 3 for 2.
Did yoga, 15 lengths of the pool then 10 mins in the steam room this morning, am building up my swimming and heat tolerance for the months ahead. My generalised arthritis is getting worse as the weather gets colder, especially in my hands and shoulders, I hope the heat in Aus will help it subside a bit?
Michaels car has problems, the doors don't stay locked when he is driving. They don't fully open but about a half inch crack and often will not close properly at all. We took it to a little garage that specialises in VW and Audis and we are to take it in next Monday so he can strip the locks down, even central locking does not hold them shut. It is a good little runner as Florrie would say, is 10 yrs old and has only done 110 thousand miles which is quite good for a diesel. The mechanic said it could do up to 250 thousand miles with this engine. Muneer still says it is the best car he has ever driven. It will probably cost us a small mortgage to have it repaired but what else can we do?
The colour of the trees are pretty stunning at the moment apparently they are more vivid if the months of autumn are dry and we have had very little rain for the past couple of months.
We go for our flu jabs this Friday, we are usually ok after them.
Not much else to report.
Night all.

I was probably away from the computer when you tried with the video thing. I will watch for it next time.
I keep laughing to myself about Michaels car doors not shutting. How many months was it till he noticed ?
sheila x
This has been going on for months but to quote Michael 'I thought that I could get away with it', today was when he realised he couldn't?
