Bedding in.

We have been here six days and it feels like months? Cold weather, rain and dark days are just a distant memory.
Had our first tropical storm last night and it was a corker, talk about a light show we had the works.
We are up and doing our usual walk, we were late this morning and didn't set off until 6-30am, we are in bed some nights about 8-30 and don't need any rocking to sleep. I haven't watched any television, caught ten minutes of the news last night and that is about it.
Petrol is cheaper here but I think food on the whole is more expensive but you tend not to eat as much because of the heat.
Sandra drove us to the outskirts of Brisbane for a haircut and colour each. She is getting more confidant and the new car is a nice little car to drive. It feels roomy and has lots glass, it doesn't feel closed in.
Still unable to use my laptop wireless, it is more to do with it being an Apple Mac, they don't do technology very well here but I am on the case. May have to ring Andrew and sort it out long distance??
Have had fish and chips at Saviges and a wonderful meal at the golf club but haven't made the RSL yet.
Sameer is painting someones house this week and Sandra is busy at work. She has had us in stitches recounting her 'training sessions' on selling techniques.
Michael is upstairs doing his stretches, I am going to do a bit of ironing whilst I am still sweaty, then it is a shower and a fruit platter for breakfast.
One thing that is weird, listening to Christmas songs and carols in shops and all the xmas decorations. They do mince pies, xmas pud and xmas cake but they aren't like back home. Sandra has been sampling various mince pies and says she may make her own mince from a Delia recipe then make her own pies?
Am impressed with the wreaths, were you tempted to eat the Roses as you went along Sheila? did you eat your favorites and make a wreath with what was left, I would have been tempted to do that?
A word of warning, don't touch Sameers chocolate when you are here. He threw a wobbler because he said someone had eaten 3 squares of his chocolate out of the fridge. It wasn't Sandra or myself and Michael said it wasn't him?? Sandra said he must have eaten it or it had dropped down somewhere in the fridge, I am saying nothing.I think the sun must have got to him as he is working outdoors?

Mary Sue and Waverly should be back in Kansas tomorrow, kedie is always in our thoughts, poor Tammy and Tom must be at their wits end?
Hope to have a chat with you Mary Sue in the next few days, give our love and best wishes to the kids in Chicago.

Am off to start my day.
Gud Day to all

Mam it's got nothing to do whether it is a Mac or not or even a cell phone. All it needs is a wireless router that works and the password.

I can't be to blame this time for the missing chocolate. I feel like I should get an official pardon.

Don't leave it any longer, go in and see Bribie Natural Health and make an appointment. He will get you in the next day or so.

Well, glad to finally hear from down under. I'm at Tam & Toms, getting ready for bed, then up and to the airport at 8 am.
Between S&S, S&M and S&G (when they get there), we should be getting very regular reports from down there...
As I was reading your blog about the chocolate, I was thinking it's a good think Mike isn't there to blame. Does make one wonder where it all goes...like socks disappearing in the dryer.
