Have had a couple of good days. Spent the day at North Lakes Thursday with Sandra. It was her day off so we aquainted ourselves with the place. I bought a new dress which will see me through Christmas and the New Year. Sandra has just been told that she will only have xmas day off and will be working Boxing day. Apparently everyone has to work in the shop on that day as people bring gifts back to exchange them etc. Michael was left home alone as Sameer was in Brisbane for the day and the girls made a good day of it. We are also giving 'The Coffee Club' a lot of trade Mary Sue. Our favourites are the salmon and cream cheese wrap and turkey and cranberry wrap, toasted of course.
Friday, Sandra was at work all day and the boys went to Brisbane on a coaching day event so it was my turn to be home alone. I did a load of washing, tidied up and tried to read in between.
The days all seem the same, the weather is good with wind keeping the humidity down. I would be happy if it stayed like this. You just have to pace yourself.
I am not in the Christmas spirit yet as I cannot get my head around, sun, heat and Christmas, it just doesn't feel right.
Sandra has bought some outdoor lights to string around the deck, so that is a project waiting to happen. She is having her staff Christmas party here next Saturday. They were going to a hotel for a meal but some staff didn't want to go so Sandra offered their house for the event. The manager is paying for all the food, it will be a cold buffet, paper plates and all other stuff provided.?
We still haven't been to the RSL or Eumundi market, we are both in manyana time I think?
We did a walk on Bongaree beach, start to finish was just under 10,000 steps and took us an hour and half with two pit stops for water and one to sit on a bench to see the sun go down.
Seen my first cockroach, they are known as 'cockies' here. They move very fast and you have to develop a technique if you want to kill them. Had we been filmed in our failed attempt it would have been a hit on 'You Tube' I am sure.
I found Radio 2 on my laptop so listened to Terry Wogan for a while. Again it is at the other end of the day.
Have been awake since 3-30am so am up and ready to walk. Will go and get Michael up now as this is the best time to do it, before it gets too hot.
Wonderful news re Kedzie, it would just make Thanksgiving complete if she could come home. Kids get better so much quicker in their home enviroment don't they? Tammy and Tom will feel drained and tired as they will have lived on their adrenaline for the past month and Mary Sue you have been a star. It has to be all hands on deck at times like that doesn't it? Hopefully normal service will soon be resumed and you can sit back and enjoy your new house?
Well that is all for now folks, have to get the old man up and be off.
Have a good weekend everyone.
xx from us all here.
