Summers end

It is starting to feel autumnal at night now but the weather is still good. Had a torrential downpour on Sunday afternoon but it was just what the gardens needed.
The kids are drifting back to school. Natasha lands in LA on the 10th, on to Kansas for a week then back home to England on the 22nd to start Uni in Oct, Naomi enrols on Thursday for her second year 'A' levels, Liam is well into his new job, Dean is off to New York with his girlfrien Lauren to see his dad this weekend, Rachael is off to Spain for a weeks break next week, Daniel has enrolled to take a keep fit instructors course and Michael is off to Turkey 15th to 23rd of Sept to start a conversion course.
Me, I am just doing the usual stuff, housework, gardening etc. Cleaned all the upstairs yesterday, will tackle the downstairs today. I may have solved the dishwasher problem, put half a cup of bicarb of soda and a cup of white vinigar into the dishwasher left it for 2 hours then poured a kettle full of boiling water down it and so far we havent had the water backing up. It is a wonderful solution for blocked sinks etc, got it out of my Handy Household Hints book.
Take a trip to Keighley to have my hair coloured at this salon which only uses organic hair dye, Have quite got used to my 'red' hair but it will have to go.
Michael is getting more bits of football work , he spent the day at Bradford FC academy for the PFA and should be starting the colleges at the end of Sept, he is still with Harrogate and has some work coming up for Sheffield and Hallamshire. What with the Turkey stuff he will be turning in circles soon but he will not listen to me so I just let him get on with it.
Got the qoute for the kitchen floor,It was more than I expected, so am going to have another radiator put in and see if that is enough.
Am having the staircase painted in Oct, hopefully whilst I am away and some new carpet put down when I get back, does anyone want some old staircarpet?
On the ankle front it is starting to heal and I am back doing bits of walking. Am not pushing it though so only keep my trainers on for an hour at a time. On Saturday I realised I hadn't felt any pain for most of the day, however it still starts to hurt if I am on my feet for long spells.
Other than the above nothing much else to report.
Have a good day>
