Sun at Last

What a difference a bit of sun makes. It is warmer, plants are popping through and trees are blossoming.
We have a rat problem in the chicken run, the house overlooking have counted 9 so far. Sam the dog is trying hard but they disappear into holes in the wall. Today Joseph has bought a pellet gun and we have 2 massive traps and some poison. Has anyone got any sensible suggestions to make that would expedite the rats demise?

Have a wedding outfit, need some shoes and a bag now then am done.
Michael is well and enjoying himself I think.
Pauline is recovered and back running around posting her mail.
Naomi and Natasha are both revving up for exams at the beg of June.
Natashas friend Chris who is her boyfriend as opposed to a friend who is a boy visited with her on Tues evening. A very nice young man might I say?, they are well suited.
Have started on the shed today, have put the wormery outside now it is getting warmer and was excited to see the first of my potatoes sprouting through.
Am off now as the Apprentice is on. Would like to comment on George Bush but would need a couple of spare hours and am too tired.
Night all.

Treat it like an afternoon fishing. Sit with a good book and the air gun and watch the rats from a distance and then pick them off.

Try googling about your rat problem. How about snakes...they eat rats don't they? But watch out, I'm pretty sure they eat people too. Good job on finding a wedding outfit, I always hate shopping for dressy occasions. Am waiting for the "Homelyear" lemon cake to get out of the oven then will go watch AI with Mike.

The rats dont always die from the first shot, but if you put poison down they bleed to death anyway,I shoot and poison them, taking great care not to kill water voles,as they are a protected species, and I think vegetarian,Ideal weapon is a shotgun, but sadly illegal without a licence(hard to get)Neighbours are probably not very happy if they are counting the rats!!the poison will be eaten for about 3 days then one day it will be still there, this denotes demise of rats.
Snakes are not an option as they are very rare in England and mainly confined to moorland,I have never seen one in England, only abroad.
