Morning with Joseph at B&Q, Hillsborough, Wilkinsons and a Beres roast Pork sandwich for lunch.
Karon was on afternoons so Joseph and myself did a couple of hours on the allotment. I was digging a bed over that had potatoes in last year. Dug up loads which had been left in, not sure if we can use them as seed potatoes this year, they have chitted. Joseph was putting up fittings in the shed to hold the tools etc.
Came home when it started to rain, ache all over.
Natasha rang, her new friend who is a boy but at this stage not her boyfriend if you get my drift was busy in the kitchen cooking her a meal???? she was well and no longer stressed by her bad haircut. I told her yesterday there is 2 weeks between a good and bad haircut and she is halfway through the first week so not long to go.
Bad news on the travel insurance front. No one will give me annual cover for worldwide travel which includes USA, Canada and the carribean because of my age and health history. A single trip cover to the USA for 21 days with my health problems covered was £574. So I pay for each trip or do not cover my health problems and pay about £250 per trip. The insurance will cost more than the airfare. I can get annual cover for worldwide excluding the USA etc for much less.I rang 5 companies which specialise in insurance for the elderly and they all said much the same
I was told that all the underwriters are following this because of the high costs in the USA et al.Michael can get insurance because he is younger and doesn't have health problems, so I will insure him for the year as he still has lots of work to do abroad. I will have to do mine as and when and think hard about the costs. I have been telling Michael for the last ten years that we should get our big holidays done as I knew insurance would b a problem. Anywhere in the EU isn't a problem as we have reciprical agreements and I think we are ok with Aus.
Basically my 3 options are.
1) I declare everything and pay for each trip.
2) I take a risk and don't declare my health problems.
3) I don't do anymore long hauls.
I could murder some chocolate cake at this point.
Am about to put the bottles in and retire for the night.
Night all.
