Had the best nights sleep since returning home and feel jet lag free.Have spent the last 3 days feeling tired, disoriented and needing to be cosseted??? Picked up Pauline and Rachael yesterday morning from the train station on their return from NYork. I don't think they had slept or eaten for the five days they were there. I think the 'shop till you drop' statement would apply on this occasion. Their suitcases were much heavier than mine and that takes some doing let me say?
Up early today to take Naomi to York Uni, she was able check in from 11am.
The university campus is built around a lake and is quite impressive. We got her settled in, took her for lunch then bid her farewell. She recognised other students faces from 'Facebook', she has been talking online with them so has a reason to say hello and introduce herself. I think she will be fine.
I can't believe it is 2years ago that I was doing the same for Natasha, she is starting her 3rd year now and doing well. The end of an era for us so to speak.
Had a chat with one of my friends from work and she has just come down with shingles. Like mine they came out of the blue when she was feeling really fit and well. After a long chat about our respective ailments we decided we were two sad old birds but I do sympathise with her as the pain is bloody awful.
Weather today has been grey and dull but warm. It was beautiful in York with lots of sunshine.
Settling down now for Strictly Come Dancing and X Factor, have some catching up to do.
Night All.

I got shingles this time last year,it is probably an elderly thing, but being a stoical Rotherham lad I soldiered on.
What a good idea and use of Facebook. I never thought of that.
