Bleak Midwinter.

It never got light yesterday and there was heavy incessant rain all day. I shouldn't complain as we haven't had any rain for what feels like ages. It has been cold and sunny most of last week.
Michael was out coaching in it most of the day assessing a level3 course. I made a good lamb curry and rice, something hot and sustaining for him to come home to. He was wet to the skin but said he had had a good day. He never notices the weather when he is out on the pitch.
Had a good hour long chat with Natasha. She phoned me up on her way home from work, suitably dressed in wellies and wet weather gear. We put the world to rights, both Chris and herself are fine and both very busy with life.
They called in to see us today on their way back home to York. They had stayed at Liams last night.
Have been to the health club today and sorted out Michaels car insurance and our house insurance online. Both are due on Thursday.
Am off to Leeds tomorrow to spend the day with my friend Ruth, hope it doesn't rain. Other than that it has been a quiet day. Sportsperson of the Year is on and there are a good set to choose from what with all the gold Olympians and lewis Hamilton etc.
Not much else to report really.
Hope it is a positive outcome with the house, F&MS, you must have known doing all that cleaning and decorating whilst Fuad was in Brazil picking up nasty bugs Mary Sue?
Bottles are in

No light and constant rain. Now I know why I left.

Sonia, it was funny because while I was doing all the cleaning and having the painting done, it felt like I was in a "nesting" mode which I suppose can be advantageous for trying to get a house sorted for any reason. Keep your fingers crossed.
