Just Be Thankful For What You Have?

Have finished writing the C/Cards, Wrapped almost all the prezzies and have started putting up the decorations. It meant a trip into the loft, followed by Michael who wanted to look at some football stuff he has up there.
Four trips to the health club every week leave me little time for anything else.Michael has taken to doing the housework and helps with the cooking so we are currently a well oiled team.
In reference to the title of this blog I was saddened by some news that came in with the Christmas cards from friends.
Rod from personnel is going into hospital for a triple by-pass in January. Julie who worked for me at Ravenscroft lost her brother this year. David was in his forties and the last I remember he was doing triathlons. Julie has also suffered a ruptured achilles tendon, so my year was a bed of roses compared to hers. To finish this despondent paragraph a neighbour across the road, in her 40s with three young kids has just been diagnosed with some hereditary muscle and nerve disease and will probably be in a wheelchair before 6months is out.
Have had long chats with Sandra and Mary Sue so am up to date with overseas family.
Must cut it short, Michael is searching for a certificate he needs for Saturday and as his PA I am needed to assist.
Night all

Seems to be lots of sad news as we get older.

I know what you mean Sonia. A famous female marathon runner died last week, her funeral was today. She leaves a husband and 3 children. She was 41 and died from breast cancer. Before I saw the news I was moaning I was bored, it soon shut me up.
