Yesterday was gorgeous, blue sky sunshine and a bit warmer. Michael cut the grass and tidied the lawn edges up. I did a bit of pruning and four loads of washing which all dried.
Dorothy my neighbour came over and we caught up on the local happenings whilst we were gone. She said how cold it had been and how difficult it was to drive in the village due to ice and snow which lasted for 3 weeks.Nothing much else to report. My neighbours have been quiet. I think extreme cold keeps people subdued?
Michael and myself ventured out today. We caught the train into town as I had to go to the building society. It was cloudy with a nip in the air. I had my jeans, a jumper, my coat, boots and gloves on. The skin on my hands and face feels so dry I had half a jar of cream on my face and the same on my hands. Michael had his jacket zipped up and kept rubbing his hands together to keep warm. We didn't hang about, did what we had to and came home as quickly as we could.I never thought I would miss being hot and sweaty??
I am still waking up at 3am, then 5am. Consequently I am falling asleep at 3 in the afternoon. The clocks going forward hasn't helped either.
I am rejoining the health club. Have noticed that when you are old it takes longer to get fit and it disappears fast when you stop working out. So it is back to the swimming and yoga ASAP.
Am watching Neighbours to get my Aussie fix then I shall make us something to eat. Michael went upstairs about 3 hours ago to make some phone calls. It has been really quiet for the last couple of hours, expect he has collapsed on the bed.
We have the bottles in every night, couldn't sleep with out them.
Night all.

Typed a lengthy comment, but it didn't post. I can't be bothered to remember what all I said. Anyway, nice to read your blog. I have knitting tonight, making another fruit flan, Mike went through my first one like there was no tomorrow.
Last night going to the club the air was cool so I wore a sweat top, the temp 22!
I kept waking up in the middle of the night for over a week Mam.
