Life is a Blur???

we haven't drawn breath since last week some time. Got my iphone Thursday, not the new one like fuads but nevertheless it is good.
N had just come back from Uni so it was installed on the laptop, phone numbers downloaded onto it etc all in about half an hour. I then went off to yoga, good class.

Friday spent the day at Pateley Bridge in the dales with some old work colleagues. Dilys has had a caravan there for 33 yrs and her mum and dad before her. The original was pre war, built of wood with gas mantles for light, no running water and a toilet block across the site. It still doesn't have main drains but the newer version is in an idylic spot by the side of a babbling brook that has never flooded the van.
We did a very good walk for one and a half hours, like climbing a mountain, very windy, cool and raining for most of the way. We passed an old half crumbled mine building in the middle of no where. How did people work, out in the middle of no where, with no transport etc?

Saturday, got up and did some washing, N came at about 10-30am, was thrilled to find she had passed one of her 9 exams she has taken over the past 2 mths, that is the second one with a good mark, only seven more to go.
She left at 5-45pm and liam and Roxanne arrived at 6-30pm had a meal then lots of chat until 10-30pm when Michael took them home.
Collapsed into bed and slept well.

Sunday.
Glorious weather, more washing then started on Michaels car. he washed the outside of both of them then it took me about 2 hours to clean the inside. I don't think it has been cleaned for about 5 yrs, honestly.
It was roasting hot on the front of the house but I got it done. We were delayed somewhat by people passing who stopped to chat.Michael did a good job with the lawn
Had a leisurely bath then spent an hour on the phone with Fuad talking iphones, health issues and other stuff. Am still struggling to send a photo over the phone, can take one but don't know how to attach it to the email.
We are of to bed for an early night have yoga in the morning and a visit to the docs in the afternoon.
Who said retirement was boring??

Have just remembered, I have to finish off our tax returns, was in the middle of doing them when Paul died and they have got put on the back burner whilst I sorted his stuff out.
Pauls house has been valued at between £135.000 and £150.000, his current debt stands at £86.000approx. Hope the house sells quickly and we get some decent neighbours?
Am falling asleep so will be off to bed.
Hope the coaches in Aus have settled in and still no news of 'patter of tiny feet' from the little house on the prairie?

Night all.

The most unworthwile job in the world is cleaning cars, which is why ours is cleaned only when it looks like a bin wagon. Graham

I went to Pately bridge with school on an outward bound course. I remember that we walked for some two hours to get to "crocodile rock". There they gave us jam sandwiches which I couldn't eat because they were clarted in butter and strawberry jam, both of which I hate, and then it looked like rain so the teachers took us back. the quick way which took about ten minutes! sheila x
