We had an away day today as the weather was good. We did Bakewell, Hope and Castleton.
The heather is out on the moors and as ever the scenery spectacular.
My bruise is fading and I put some cover on it so it didn't look too bad. My mouth is still sore and I cannot eat crunchy food but it is slowly getting better.
Am currently thinking about Christmas, not sure what to do about cards and pressies etc.
Long chat with Natasha this afternoon.
Michael is becoming glued to the chair what with the world athletics and football. It was good to see the Sheffield girl win a gold and we have just won another gold with the mens hop, skip and jump. I have enjoyed watching them, especially Usain Bolt.
Has anyone noticed how the nights are drawing in? we need lights from about 8-30pm now, Autumn is on its way and we haven't really had a summer. I haven't used our ceiling fans at all this year and we have the same duvet on the bed.
Watching a short programme about the Faroe Isles, Michael did some coaching there. The islands and the people are beautiful, very Nordic looking. There is a house where 17 generations of one family have lived in. A lot of the houses have turf on the roofs. It insulates, soundproofs and protects.
Well that is about all folks, am off to bed, have yoga in the morning then the usual household chores.
Night all

I miss Derbyshire...especially Bakewell, Hope and Castleton...not to mention Hathersage and Matlock.
Mam, everyone is grown up now...even me! Don't bother with Christmas. Send everyone a Christmas card and tell them you will treat them next time you see them...lunch, dinner, etc. It saves you money, time and tons of hassle and no one will be hurt or bothered and everyone will understand.
I agree with Fuad - ouch! it hurt me typing that.
