Weekend

Have felt really crap for the past few days but heigh ho the sun is shining again after about 10 days of heavy rain and grey skies so here we go again. I am not aware that the rain bothers me but it must do? Thursday it was 12deg and torrential all day. Today we are promised sun and 22deg, fingers crossed, it will give me a chance to wear one of the nice dresses I bought in Aus?
We are off to London on Friday next for 3 nights, staying in Greenwich for a change. We will link up with S&N who go Thurs to Sat.
My garden still looks stunning and is a joy to me every morning when I look out of the kitchen window.
Our new neighbours move in today into Paul's old house. It will be strange for us at first. They are in their early 30s and have a little girl, I hope they are user friendly?
It is Rachael's birthday today, we are going out for an Indian meal to celebrate tomorrow night. Visited her at their new house yesterday, they are gutting it so it is like a building site at the moment but they are getting there.
Received some beautiful flowers from Natasha, they have pride of place in my room. My pride in my family is not about how much money they have made but that they are good human beings, a quality often overlooked in this day and age don't you think?
Michael is off this morning to visit an old friend Tony Morris, "Wheel barrow races"Fuad, did you go? Tony has cancer of the bladder, has just had surgery to remove it, is faring well and is very stoic, Michael has known him since he was 5 yrs old.
Then we are going to have a look at an Audi and Golf car, it is my latest distraction and visit Cannon Hall Farm Shop to buy some meat and stuff.
Did a test drive in the new Toyota Auris hybrid, it was like driving a tank, didn't like it at all.
We had a lovely meal at the Wilkinson's last week, it was good to catch up with them and some other old friends. I am meeting my friend Ruth tomorrow for a catch up, that will be nice. We are meeting in a small family run garden centre near Barnsley, the man grows his own roses and other plants, we have been before.
Other than that life is much the same, oh other than I have learned how to send pictures by email from my phone but not sure why they come on their side, I don't send them like that. Another visit to the Apple shop is called for I think.?
Have a good weekend everyone. xxxx

I remember Michael telling us about the wheelbarrow races and Tony Morris but I don't remember going to a wheelbarrow race.
