Dorothy my neighbour from across the road came over to tell me she had seen 6 magpies pulling the cement out from some of my ridge tiles on the main roof. We haven't had the roof checked for a few years so will have it done before winter sets in. I knew magpies were destructive but not to this degree. Paul my other neighbour puts all sorts of bird food and bread out on his wall and it is attracting all the big birds like magpies, crows and wood pigeons etc as well as the pretty small ones. You can see where they have done the damage the little blighters.
Have just had a soak in my new bath, the first time, it was good. We still have to give the bathroom a good wipe down, Michael says he will do it next week, it is on his list of 'to do', he says he is turning over a new leaf??
Will have to look on my camera to see if I have any decent pictures on it I can post.Did a lot of washing today and got it dried in between the raindrops. Have started sorting out the garden and deciding on what I am going to keep, some stuff just gets too big.
My other neighbours are still at it so to speak. Following the attendance of the police and an ambulance last week it has been quiet but all hell broke loose when I was in Leeds for the day on Friday. The husband turned up and she wouldn't let him in and she smashed a photo of the happy couple through the window. He has been at home today and it has been quiet. Michael heard the altercation, I always miss it. Dorothy comes over and fills me in as she can see the events as they happen?
Michael has a days work next week doing his external verifying for the FA. He has also received his cert to say he can coach up to level 4 which is the old 'A' licence until Dec 2009. There aren't many coaches about at that level.
Joseph brought me a cos lettace, a cucumber, some onions, potatoes and eggs on Saturday from the allotment. We hope the weather is good for us to go and do a bit of work up there next week.
We are into the olympics. Fuad did you see the womens outdoor cycle race? Well we won gold. The whole race was done in torrential rain and we cheered our girl on. We think the gymnasts are good but feel it is cruel to train such young kids and Michael said there was no way he would let a kid of his do it
Am off to bed, I feel all clean and the sheets are clean so I hope I have a good night.
Night all.

I am trying to get into the Olympics and am seeing some stuff. I saw the early part of the women's bike race but not the end. I did see a women's swimming race when the U.S. woman thought she had won but one of our lasses pipped her for the gold.
