The carrots were/are growing in two earthenware pots that I normally grow flowers in. We pick a few a day, wash and eat them either as crudites with hummus or on their own. They are lovely and sweet and because they are grown high up have avoided the dreaded carrot fly who operate at ground level.
The bakewell tart and treacle and coconut tart I made along with meat and potato pie for Natasha and Chris who visited yesterday. A good time was had by all. Natasha was so full she couldn't move. I did her pie without meat and made her gravy with the water from the mashed carrot and turnip and potato. Am getting good at the veg option?
Michael is at the allotment, I am doing bits around the house then am off to my aqua class.
Michael is going back to Turkey to do a seminar for a club in the south. He is away 4th to 13th Oct.
Not much else to report.
Gday all.
