Have worked my way through the upstairs, clearing cupboards, drawers and getting rid of a ton of stuff. In between have been working on the back garden, laying gravel on two beds as the soil is rubbish and it will be less work in the future. Have cleared another bed and have planted spring onions, beetroot, peas, lettace, carrots and some potatoes in pots. Am planting a bit every two weeks so it doesn't all come at once.
We have had little or no rain for about 5 weeks now, having said that it is forcast for next week and the gardens certainly need it. The allotment is also planted up and the chickens are laying well.
On the grandkid front Rachael got promotion at work and is enjoying her brain being stretched again, she said she felt brain dead at work before. Am going over probably next week to make the lemon meringue pie with her, it is her favourtie.
Dean and his girlfriend Lauren are currently in Luxor Egypt on a weeks holiday. Lauren got promotion just before she left beating 18 people for the job, she is excited about her new challenge.
Liam and Roxanne are their usual selfs.
N is back at Uni and doing well.
Natasha is doing a two week placement at a school in Huddersfield. It is in a very deprived area with a good percentage of the pupils having behavioral problems and problems at home. Her boyfriend Chrises mother is a teacher at the school and is in charge of the dept for kids with special needs etc.
She was exhausted at the end of her first week but had absolutely loved it and feels this would be the job for her.She also said she has an amazing respect for teachers now having seen what they have to deal with.
Natasha is very good with people who are on the margins and would be good in teaching or mental health.
On top of her placement she has to write a 3thousand word essay on it and finish her dissertation, both of which have to be in by early May. I hope she has enough energy to celebrate when it is all over?
We are off to Muneers for Sunday lunch, I think we are having fish? It is good to have a day off every now and then?
Will take some pictures of my BBQ, we love it and my kitchen has been much cleaner since we got it.You need a flat cast iron griddle plate to get the full value of it. Bacon and eggs taste so good cooked on it.
Must sign off have to get myself ready to go to Muneers.
Afternoon all.

We definitely need a gas grill...I love the idea of not cleaning up the kitchen.
No wonder Tash likes working in that environment and is good at it. She had lots of practice with her Dad.
