It has been in the 80s this week with some humidity. A good preparation for Aus though I have only had the bedroom ceiling fan on once.
Not much has happened this week other than some major weeding sessions at the allotment. It looks so much better for it and the plants have room to breath. Have had some lovely rhubarb, gooseberries and bilberries this week from it and there is still more to pick.
M&P are in Turkey for a weeks break, not sure where but it is all inclusive so they should be ok?
Natasha and Chris moved into their new flat on Friday, good luck with the move. Not long now before they are on their way to Aus, end of Sept.
N has passed her first year at Uni but can't get a holiday job. What with the recession and EU nationals there is little going on the job front for students these days.
Here is a little tip. My iron, which is called a steam generating iron, was marking my clothes with white marks and sandy like particles. I put in a half mix of white vinigar and filtered water, let it sit for a few minutes, got it up to steam then held it over the sink whilst releasing the steam. The gunge that came out was amazing. I did it a few times and it is now much better with more steam etc.Make sure to rinse out a couple of times before using it again. You could do the same with any steam iron I would think?
Have been awake since 3-30am so got up at 4am have just finished my 2nd load of washing and got it all hung out. We had heavy rain yesterday from 10-30am to 4pm then it was glorious. At the moment there is a clear blue sky, the sun is up and the birds which woke me up are singing. Hope it stays this way but showers are forecast.
Gina and Andrew are at a festival with their tent etc this weekend listening to some strangely named groups, hope it stays dry and the musicians perform well for them?
Joseph and karon are ok, both working hard. Joseph keeps getting work and is as thin as a rail but is healthy, I think and so he says? Daniel has been helping with the latest job as there was a lot of paving slabs to lift and move.
Roxanne has started a new job and loves it. Liams hay fever is much better, Him and roxanne went to the cinema to see 'Ice Age' or something like that. they both enjoyed it.
MS&F are soon to be driving off on Kansas's main street, I70, across to Colorado. Hundreds of miles without seeing a soul but exciting as the rockies loom into view. It is a lovely state, with amazing views, Boulder and Colorado Springs being our favourites places to stay. We never made Denver though. Have a good rest both of you and enjoy the views.
Have put a picture on of my favourite corner of the garden at the moment taken on my phone of course.
Hope we hear some good news re the rest of the eggs being hatched at S&Gs, today is the day the scottish eggs should appear as chicks? good luck.
Must go, am feeling tired so am off back to bed to try and get a couple of hours sleep.
Good Morning all

Garden's looking good Mam. But I would like to see a picture of the grill more than anything.
