Living the Life.

Sandra started work on Wednesday after a much needed break so life has resumed it's normal gentle pattern.
It has been really hot here for the last few days but we are aclimatised to it now much better. The aircon was down in the Mall where Sandra works yesterday for a while so she felt the heat as well.
We made a trip to Brisbane on Monday with S&S to Immigration to enquire about extending our 3mth visa and we had to fill out forms etc and pay $250 each. We decided instead to take a short trip to New Zealand instead as our visa is good for a year for as many visits as long as we don't stay longer than 3mths at any one time. We leave on Feb 3rd and return on the 11th as we have to be out of the country by the 12th I would rather put the $500 towards a trip for us both than give it to the govt here.
I found excellent flights, $886 for the both of us, going out with Quantas and returning with Virgin Blue. I have booked us into a hotel at Auckland Airport for the first night as we land late and will book a car today and we are on the road again. We have a map with times of journeys to places of interest and the longest one is about 4 hours away so will book hotels on the road as we go. I think it will be a bit cooler there but they say this is the best time to go?
The football season has started here so life is getting busy again for S&S. Sameer goes to Tasmania for a week this Saturday to do some coaching there. Michael is coaching his team whilst he is away and is a guest coach at other times. He misses not coaching but doesn't miss the Coach Education side of things
S&G return today from their trip to the West and will see some coaching as Sandra is working and they land when Sameer is coaching, so he will pick them up, Michael will coach and they will watch or something like that. It was a bit of a logistical problem and they wouldn't let me go to the airport to collect them as it was rush hour when they land. So I will see them later tonight.
As it is just us 2 girls tonight for dinner we are going to have Singapore Noodles and some rice dish so we don't have to cook and we can have the tele, football free, yippee!
We are both well and have a bit of a tan just from walking around. It is much too hot to sit in it and we are made very aware of skin cancer by the number of people who have had to have cancerous spots removed.
Must go Michael has made my breakfast which we shall eat out on the deck, in the shade of course.
Good Morning all.
