Tuesday is 'Australia Day' which I am told is bigger than Christmas here? If you're not working you have a BBQ and go to the beach. There are loads of activities organised from 7-30am to fireworks at 7-30pm on the Island. People fly flags from their cars and it feels like a good time will be had by all?
It is the equivalent to the last bank holiday of the summer as the kids start going back to school after their long summer break on Wednesday.
It is hot here and humid but am getting acclimatised. Sameer is coaching for a week in Tasmania which he says is beautiful and a bit cooler
We are off to NZ on Feb 3rd for 8 days, am looking forward to that.
Not much else to say as life carries on here in it's own gentle way.
