The end of the week.

A somewhat quiet week other than the weather. Spent Thursday visiting a friend in leeds. Travelled by train on a day when we had 70mph gales, sleet and snow. Had a lovely lunch with homemade soda bread, soup made from veg from their allotment, salad and homemade pie, put me to shame.
Woke up to snow this morning but it was mostly gone by lunchtime, a bit warmer than yesterday which was freezing.
Spoke to Val, Pat is doing well and eating and sleeping much better.
Visited Joseph today to take his card, I cannot believe he is 50 tomorrow. he isn't doing anything for his birthday, says he just wants a quiet time.
Watched England v Wales in the 6 nations Rugby, what a match, England lost.
Have got the cases out for Portugal and started a list. I am nothing without a list these days.
We are flying from Manchester so will get the train and stay in a hotel as we fly at 6am on Sat.
Am so glad january is over and the days are getting longer, I just don't function well in winter, cannot seem to motivate myself to do anything. Plus my achilles doesn't help. It is ok if I do little or no walking but that is no way ti live is it?
Michael is still limping, I hope the sun and some warmth will help.
Well folks the bottles are in, Michael has his cocoa and we are off to bed.
Night all.
