I forgot to mention the rhubarb which I have just started off, it is in the green plastic strawberry planter on the first photo.
This picture is at the right hand side and has mostly flowers other than a plastic container with strawberries in and some newly sown salad leaves on the top, I didn't have enough strawberry plants. In amongst the flowers there are the red salad leaves from last year which are going to seed, the is also some rocket and other leaves there. I now need to plant some baby spinach.
Susan and Cherie visited this morning, both were well. Then I went off and did some swimming and an Aqua class. We do it to music and it is lovely to hear all us old girls singing to the music. We had Elvis, Bill Haley and a few more old timers. The instructor hasn't a clue who they are bless her?
Called in and had 15mins with Pauline, she is suffering with sore knees. She walks on average 4-5miles a day at a fast speed up and down hills etc carrying a heavy bag then she goes to the gym and runs on the tread mill and does classes. Yes I know, Michael has given her a bollocking and I have, she will have to learn the hard way?
Had a long chat with Sheila she is excited re her anticipated chickens. The hut is nearly ready and looking really good. A photo is expected ASAP.
Had a long chat with Michael last night, phone coverage is really poor. He has to find a spot in the middle of a field type thing and then it doesn't always work. I have tried him tonight and couldn't get through. Anyway he is well and says the weather isn't too hot yet, it is supposed to be 90 on Wed.
It got a little warmer this pm but we still need the heat on to take the chill off. We have had a mixture of sun and clouds.
Must close as I have my pots to water.
Cut something out of the paper Mary Sue re Wisteria but cannot find it. When I do will tell you what it says.I came upon those Mary Jane style trainers that I bought like yours, well because of my heel they have been out of sight and I now have them on, walking somewhat tentatively around the house in them, so far so good. I have found out what was causing my hands to be sore. It was my gardening gloves, I had worn them without the latex gloves underneath. Part of the glove is that thick plastic and my skin doesn't like it. They are the same if I wear the webbed gloves in the Aqua class. Another problem solved?
Goodnight all.
Found the wisteria stuff, it may be caused by wildly fluctuating temps day/night at a critical time, not much you can do??
Look for other new shoots coming out from the base, the top may die but do not despair, leave it till next year and it may come again. Not much I know but that is all there was to a readers letter.
Could Fuad be retrained as a teacher??, he has missed his vocation.
Goodnight again.

You're right, he is a teacher Sonia, he teaches soccer, nutrition, health & exercise and how to ride a bike!!!! A few times he tries to teach me how to be a perfect wife but I put a very quick stop to that.
You might have something on the wisteria. I have noticed some leafing only at the base. Should I cut any of it back yet?
You've been a busy lady, solving all sorts of wonderings. Glad you've got your hands sorted out.
I didn't know Sheila was getting chicks, I'm so jealous of you two, raising your own food on the land. Can I come join you?

I see it as my mission in life to help the mere mortals of this world.

Who's Bill Haley ? I agree that Fuad should have been a preacher.
The chicken hut is a lot of work for a few eggs, but I look upon it as occupational therapy for Sheila, can't wait for the killing of the chickens, who is going to do that little chore?who is first, elsie ,daisie ,mildred,,,,,,
