Much Cooler Today.

Up and at the Asda for 8-15, had to put a jacket on. The sun was breaking through the clouds but there was a nippy wind.
Put the shopping away and drove over to Josephs to do some work on the allotment. Why do weeds grow at the speed of light???? Karon put in her kidney beans which she had started off in the greenhouse and had left out to harden off for a few days she also put some sweet peas in. We are mixing in some flowers to help with the bugs, not sure if it will work but we can but try.
Came home, had a sandwich and sat down to have 5mins, nearly 2hrs later was woke up by Liam on the phone.Got up and had Josephs favourite meal, egg and chips and watched The Apprentice whilst Michael watched football. He said there were so many matches on he didn't know which one to watch. Consequently it is now almost 2am and I am downstairs wide awake. My tendon feels sore, it is always a hairs breath away from breaking down I feel but I carry on.
We still havent received Michaels eticket to fly to Turkey on Sunday, they are usually late but not this bad.
I had to buy a new ironing board, my old one split in half as I was ironing the other day. It was made from chipboard and I think the steam must have softened it over the years, yes it was old, but it was weird as it split slowly and just went down at the end. Have got a metal mesh one now.
Have planted carrots in two big pots that I usually put annual flowers in, we shall see if they grow. We are now eating our own rocket and lambs lettace that I planted in pots a few weeks ago and my early potatoes are through and should be ready for June.
It was nice to hear from Sandra, she thought something had happened as I hadn't blogged for a while, yes the sun and hot weather had happened, I drop everything when it does. She said she had been reading our blogs and commenting but her comments were no appearing. I told her she had to sign on before her comments could be accepted but not sure if it is working ok.
I think the seminar is going ok, HW is going to be interviewed by Fox TV and they have some important person to open it, so fingers crossed for them.

Have an NHS physio appt for my ankle, June 11th. Had one of the instructors at the health club show me a workout in the pool, it was really good. She is writing it out and laminating it so I can take it with me when I go for a swim, well not actually in the water but you know what I mean?
The Chelsea flower show starts next week and I have always wanted to go. Last year we were in Aus and this year Michael will be away. If the weather is good I may go down myself for the day? Anyone fancy a trip?
It is Karons birthday Thurs so we are taking her to the Indian in Ecclesfield so they can both try the buffet. Basmati rice has almost doubled in price here so we shall see if the portions are smaller?
Well it is nearly 2-30 and my hands are starting to tingle from the plastic keys so will say goodnight.
Loved the dogs by the way. Poor old Billy, lets hope Sophie goes before him or he will be lost. It was funny how he pulled back as she charged past him, is he still iffy with his food?

Sonia, you get really good at organic farming so if we ever have a place where we can grow a garden (I'm really yearning for that), you will have worked out all the bugs, literally, and let us know how to do it.

i used to put french marigolds in with the tomatoes, but I dont know if they made any difference, and I think garlic helps with carrot fly.

Billy is still fussy with his food. I don't know what to do with him.
