Rain, Rain and more Rain!!!!!!

Yes I know I keep mentioning rain but Jesus, Mary and Joseph (as the Irish Catholics would say) it has rained for Europe today. It never really got light and was very cold this morning at 2deg, it warmed up to 7deg this afternoon though.
Fuad rang and they have an ice rain storm, everything is cancelled and they have been advised to stay in until Sunday night, it's very pretty to look at but treacherous to walk on or drive. It then returns mid week.
Got my walk in before the deluge started then drove to Meadowhall for a cup of tea and a bun with S&N. It was so packed it was like being in the middle of a crowd coming out of Old Trafford on a big match day, it was hot and crazy. Missed Dean by 5mins.
Michael did his coaching assessment stint, came home and had to sit in the bath to warm up,his clothes were sodden.
Did some knitting, had my cocoa and have come up to bed, Michael is downstairs watching MOTD on the big tele.
Have noticed today how knobbly the ends of my finger joints are, they are starting to look just like my mothers did. Have thought about her a lot today. It all started with the xmas cards in the shop for mothers, I was looking at them for a good 30secs before I realised I didn't have to buy one, it then started a chain of memories ending with me looking at my finger ends.
Caught a programme early this morning on the BBC called One World about Aden, it was weird looking at where I used to live. After the British left it had a Marxist govt for 20 years and was more or less under soviet rule. It is a mess now, little or no ships use the port which used to be very busy when I was there, there was one man in a little shack selling postcards. They joined up with North Yemen and regret it now as that country is still medieval, very sad really.
Well folks that is all for now, here's wishing Ricky Hatton all the best, I am not into boxing at all but he is a working class lad and I so want him to win. All will be revealed in the morning.
Goodnight all.
