The North Wind Doth Blow

It is blowing down from the arctic at the moment so it is not exactly spring like.
Poor old Michael has had a full day with 2 funerals to attend.
The first at 11.30am was the only child, a 15&1/2year old boy of a player that Michael had at the Joker in the early 70s. He was knocked down on Bawtry Road.
The second funeral in the afternoon was an ex-player of the Joker who died from cancer, just a bit younger than Michael. He couldn't get into the chuch for the first one it was so full and had to sit through an abbreviated mass at the second as they were backing up at the cemetary for the second. The poor man hardly got a mention as the religious clap trap came first.
I paid a visit to M/hall and had lunch and looked at a TomTom Sat Nav for Michael.Found one in the sale then rang Muneer who found the same one online at Tesco for £16 cheaper, so I went back to theirs and bought it online.

Now to explain to Fuad who obviously hasn't a clue about growing food organically. You do not use weedkiller so have to manually dig up the weeds. It is a work in progress like painting the Forth bridge. Spring is probably the most intensive time in the garden with preparation of the beds and we have structural parts of the allotment to finish off also. I must confess to neglecting my kitchen duties on my last visit to Kansas and using the time to perfect my David Copperfield impersonations. I also realised that there were much better cooks around at the time so I bowed down to superior skills and took the easy way out.Given the choice I would rather garden any day than cook.
Pictures of the aforesaid allotment will appear in future blogs to show progress.
Bottles are in so is Michael and I am watching the new Grays Anatomy.
night all
