The day before?

Yes Michael is due home tomorrow. He must feel punch drunk at times I am sure?
He calls the Football centre in Istanbul his 'Monastery' and I guess becomes even more single minded and focussed when he is there?
Have nearly finished the office and yes I know it appears to be taking me forever but I have to read everything then make a rational decision as to whether it stays or goes, I have one plastic envelope folder left of my working life.
Michael has to make the same decision about the boxes of football stuff that are taking over the office floor, the bottom of the wardrobe, his car and the ironing room just to name a few. I did make the comment to him that he is becoming like a person who hoards stuff to the point where one cannot get into the room for the boxes, have met a few in my nursing career. He agreed that it makes the office look a mess but we have been in this place before and he spends hours going through the boxes with only about 3 sheets of paper thrown out. Most of it he never uses or looks at. I am using the 'you are retired now love'and he says yes aren't I daft? I know it is hard for him but there are currently 5 boxes, 3 brief cases and 3 plastic bags all piled up just in one corner of the office.
Will keep you updated.
The gales were so bad last night it was hard to sleep. Joseph woke up and found one of the trees that he was trying to cut down had blown down onto the main road. He was out with his chain saw cutting it into logs to get it off the road at 6-30am.It is still windy but no where near like yesterday. I hope the wind abates before tomorrow, it isn't fun coming down in a plane to land in winds like this
Have brought home my first 6 eggs from the chickens, they are small and nicely shaped, Joseph says the yolks are wonderful, very orange.
Bought a bag of early seed potatoes from poundland, am going to grow them in large pots, I think there are about 8. Has anyone got any idea how many I should put in a pot?
Sandra texted me, Sameers team lost their first game 1-0. He said he was really pleased with how they played despite losing and they should have won 5-0 with their shots at goal. Good luck for the next one son.
A cyclist has just gone past and he looks like Blackpool Illuminations, lights all over his body flashing on and off. Wish they were all as sensible as that.
Shall have my English mothers day tomorrow, not sure if the American and Australian ones are on the same day in June I think?
That is all for now folks
Night all

The "tates" as they call them in lincolnshire,I think one potato in a pot about 12 x12 would give you a good yield, but copious water is required and go for early potatoes not maincrop.also heavy feeding would be required,in actual fact "tates" do better in open ground rather than pots, but give it a try. We tried tomatoes in pots and they weren't as good as in the ground.

Happy Mothers Day. American Mothers Day is the first Sunday in May. Watch for your card then. We will try to get this one mailed in time.
