Today whilst I was out looking at ovens Michael answered the phone to a woman selling timeshare accommodation in Tenerife. He thought it was a good deal so he asked her to ring back when I was in, he has done this before as he doesn't know how to tell them to p-ss off, hence some more advice from me.
Had a long chat with Sandra this morning and caught up with the Aussie gossip. They are both extremely busy and she loves her new health club. She has sent me a recipe for Anzac biscuits which I have made in a dodgy oven.It was so good to hear from her, I do miss my 'abroad' daughters-in-law and love them both dearly.
Forgot to ask if they should be chewy or crisp? I found it hard to measure the treacle also. Anyway have taken a picture of the finished result. The three on their own were a bit too chewy the others are from half the mixture which I added a bit more flour. They both taste good, Michael reckons the second lot have a bit more substance?
Michael says if I don't get it right next time then Sandra will have to come over and show me how in person. I think he is on his 6th sample biscuit and his verdict is that they are both variations on a theme and are delicious.
Have just realised that it will be wall to wall football for the next 3 weeks, a good time to buy an oven and get it in situ before the final.
Weather wise it has been cloudy with the sun trying hard to get out this afternoon, other than for 5mins it failed miserably.
My strawberries are turning a pale pink and my potatoes are flowering, the rocket has bolted and the lettaces are coming on a treat.
We shall have salad tomorrow.
Picture of Anzac biscuits for your perusal.
That is all for now folks.
Night all.

I like the teamwork here, Sandra's recipe, Sonia's finished product photo and Michael's reviews. And Michael, if you get a timeshare, find one in a secluded area (if they exist anymore).
Let's see. Biscuits don't turn out well. Blame oven. Then buy new oven. All seems logical to me Mam.
More importantly, make it look like Michael's idea, and a bit of emotional blackmail about wall to wall football can help.Luckily we are a football crazy pair,so no problems there, just been asked why I am messing on the computer at this time in a morning, she wants to go to a local farmers who is letting us have some corn,
