I Forgot

I was going to mention the Obama/Clinton saga. I listened to a radio programme this lunchtime where people can ring in or email. 99% thought Obama would be assasinated by the red neck right if elected and the majority thought he wouldn't be elected because of the rampant racism that exists in the USA. It was interesting to hear peoples experiences of racism whilst living or holidaying in the states.
It concluded with the republican guy (I have forgotten his name)getting elected despite being old and tired as the population are not ready for a woman or a black man being president. It will be interesting to see the end result.
Why are mixed race people always labelled black when they are half white???

Unless they come up with one or more crazy scandal about Obama, I think he will win. Not because or in spite of him being black but because all the blacks will vote for him, a lot of young people will vote for him. He will raise more money for commercials than McCain and he will get the usual Democratic votes.

Why do they call him black? Anyone who is not white or Hispanic is called black I guess.

I don't think the racist far right should be underestimated. I suspect they'll crawl out of the woodwork once the election is in full swing.

I hope he gets elected, I think it'll be a great day in history. I'm a little gutted they won't have a woman, it's been a tough call really. It's a shame women are still so unequal when it comes to politics.

I think Obama can win, we really need him to so we send a message to the crooks in the white house now that they won't be tolerated. And, yes, sadly, Obama needs to have a very capable vice-president.
I must say though, I will think McCain's choice of VP will have a huge impact too because of McCain's age.
